London Design Week 2019

We always consider ourselves on top of the trends for interior furnishings. Whether it be the latest designs by our favourite brands or new techniques for producing quality bespoke interior design, we aim to bring the very best of the design world to our clients. Throughout the year we visit exhibitions, events and shows to scout out the very best the market has to offer, and this year is no exception. London Design Week is always a highlight, this year it excelled with so many new and exciting items on offer. Our visit was packed full of meetings with our brand reps and industry friends and whilst swooning over new fabrics, furniture pieces and lighting design a glass or two of champagne may have been enjoyed!

A few highlights of the week were new additions by some of our favourite brands. The beautiful new lighting design by Bella Figura, is simply stunning. The new glass and ceramic table lamps are gorgeous, and the bronze and gold pendants would set any space alight, excuse the pun! Master pieces in their own right they always sit beautifully in our schemes and we are so looking forward to incorporating the new collection in to our bespoke interior designs.

Another of our favourites was the Chase Erwin showroom. Stocked full of sumptuous fabrics we were spoilt for choice and were choosing samples for clients as soon as we walked in the door. Textured silks and elegant tones never fail to hit the spot and this brand is always one that compliments the luxurious ambiance we aim for. We have used their fabrics since the very start, whether for window treatments, interior furnishing or upholstery and we have never been disappointed.

We were also very impressed with the Ventura showroom. An Irish furniture brand, we fell in love with their effortlessly luxurious pieces that are excellent examples of fine furniture making. We are looking forward to using some more of their pieces with our interior furnishings. A particular favourite was a stunning occasional chair, perfect for adding a bit of glam to a dressing room.

Whilst at the show we stumbled upon Katharine Pooleys pop up in collaboration with Turnell and Gigon. It was fabulous and oozed sophistication and glamour. Inspired by The Great Gatsby the art deco style was evident throughout with beautiful embroidery, wonderful lighting design and fabulous furniture. Set in their beautiful showroom it was a match made in heaven for us and we didn’t want to leave!

We are looking forward to next year’s show already, but before then we have a few others in the diary so keep an eye out for our highlights, coming soon.
